Ultraexclusive watchmaking brand name MB&F has shown its first tantalizing image of its Horological Machine No. 3, which will be the third watch in a continuing series of creations that showcase the creativity and ingenuity of an exceptional team of gifted watchmakers and artists. The timepiece is scheduled to debut in 2009, and will be produced in an extremely limited series. The MB&F Horological Machines No. 1 and No. 2 have provoked great acclaim from connoisseurs, with their avantgarde design and exceptional combination of prestigious and innovative complications. Maximilian Busser is well known within the watch industry for his great passion for exceptional watchmaking; before founding MB&F ("Maximilian Busser and Friends"), Busser established his reputation as the dynamic managing director of Harry Winston Rare Timepieces, where he was intimately involved with the Opus watch series, an extremely limited edition of haute horlogerie executions, each of which utilized the talents of acclaimed independent watchmakers. Swiss look at brand name Baume & Mercier pays tribute to its founder, William Baume, with a new limited edition retrograde look at with grand date. The Baume & Mercier William Baume Retrograde is to be offered in a limited series of 178 pieces, and will be made only in 18K rose gold. The finely polished case of the William Baume Retrograde view is fitted with a curved sapphire crystal and measures 41mm in diameter. The silvered dial displays a satin peripheral section in concert with a central section in "Vieux Panier" guilloche. Polished javelinshaped hands pass over applied hour markers, while a serpentine retrograde hands keeps track of the passing seconds at 6 o'clock. These functions, and the grand date calendar function at the 12 o'clock position, are animated by the selfwinding LP3533 caliber. Each Baume & Mercier William Baume Retrograde observe is fitted with a strap in alligator leather, and an 18K rose gold ardillonstyle buckle. The timepiece is water resistant to 30 meters.
