German observe maker A. Lange & Söhne marks the occasion of hiring its 500th employee, with the addition of young watchmaker Nadine Görgl, 19. Miss Görgl, who will lend her skills to the final adjustment section, joins a team of eleven gifted new watchmakers, seven of whom received their watchmaking education from Lange's proprietary watchmaking school. A. Lange & Söhne has experienced a truly notable degree of success since the brand was revived in 1990, following the collapse of the Berlin Wall and German reunification. Walter Lange, greatgrandson of founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange envisioned that the brand would eventually be able to employ somewhere around 100 watchmakers, but customer appetite for exceptional A. Lange & Söhne timepieces has been a happy circumstance that has necessitated a far larger staff. A. Lange & Söhne CEO Fabian Krone stated, "Because of the growing global demand for the timepieces created by A. Lange & Söhne, we expect the need for highly qualified staff to remain over the coming years. And since the number of complicated observe movements is continuing to increase, there will still only be a few thousand replica watches leaving the manufactory each year in the future despite the growing size of the workforce." Currently, Lange is planning to expand its production facilities, a project which will begin this year. The Glashutte view industry, comprising a handful of brands, employs somewhat over 1,000 individuals. Of this number, approximately half are employees of the A. Lange & Söhne firm. The company is particularly proud of its contributions to the cultivation of new watchmakers, noting that more than fifty watchmaking students have graduated from the Lange Watchmaking School, with another twentyfive currently undertaking their professional training. "Extravagant" would undoubtedly be an acceptable expression to explain the Tiny Lange one Soiree, which employs an enchanting mixture of important 18K white colored gold, normal mom of pearl, and sparkling spherical amazing diamonds to supply up an uncompromisingly female eyesight of what's arguably A. Lange & Sohne's most iconic wristwatch. Beyond the spectacular workmanship and icy perfection of the diamondsetting, the Soiree delivers what connoisseurs of fine timepieces inevitably expect from anything A. Lange & Sohnenamely, a superbly crafted manufacture movement crafted in accordance with the best traditions of Saxon haute horlogerie. This reference absolutely does not disappoint in that respect. As with the larger Lange one models, the 36.8mm Lange one Soiree features a sapphire crystal exhibition window in its white colored gold caseback. Through this window appears the nowlegendary Calibre L901.4, a movement lauded equally by connoisseurs for its sophisticated technical elements (indication of the power reserve, offcentered time display, and the patented Lange outsized date) and its enviable degree of aesthetic refinement. These signatures of classical German highgrade watchmaking include bridges in German silver with a ribbed finish, a handengraved balance cock with a swanneck fine adjustment, and jewels set in golden chatons with elegant triads of blued steel screws.
